Learning Navigator 3.13.0 Release Notes

This page documents all the new features, enhancements and bug fixes included in Gooru’s learning navigator release.

For detailed information on using any of learning navigator’s features, please refer to the User Guide or browse the Support Center.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • For Youtube or Vimeo resources, the default resource type is set to “Video” in the Resource editor.

  • Various bug fixes on Data analytics to display students’ data and scores accurately.

  • Fixed an issue on the Resource editor to save and load publisher information consistently.

  • Removed default DOK selection in the Assessment editor.

  • Fixed a bug in Search to display all search results.


Learning Navigator 3.12.0 Release Notes

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Made improvements to account registration to allow more complex passwords.

  • When creating a new resource, if a Youtube or Vimeo video url is entered, the video option is automatically selected and all other options are disabled.

  • Various bug fixes on the Go Live dashboard and Data analytics to display student results and scores accurately.

  • Fixed an issue with the Save button on the content editor.

  • If a resource already exists in Gooru’s catalog, it can be added directly to a collection.


Learning Navigator 3.11.0 Release Notes

Removed Feature

  • The link to Teams Beta has been removed from the product. Development on this feature is currently put on hold.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Restored missing class scores and student data caused by data server outage.

  • Fixed an issue on the Fill in the Blank question builder so that editing and saving do not cause red error messages.

  • Disabled “Edit Content” button on the Data page if there’s no course assigned to the classroom.

  • Fixed some issues on the Highlight Text question builder and to show students’ answers in the Teacher’s data report.


Learning Navigator 3.10.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Performance data for assessments and collections is now available for download in csv format from the Data analytics page. Please refer to the support center article for details and screenshots on how to download data analytics for your class.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Fixed study time calculation to show correctly on the student summary report, Go Live and Data dashboard.

  • Fixed Fill-in-the-Blank question editor to save title changes consistently without errors.

  • Various improvements to the assessment player to handle the case where a student can continue from a previous unfinished attempt.


Learning Navigator 3.9.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Performance data for collections is now available in the Data Analytics page. Please refer to the support center article for details and screenshots on how to see collection analytics for students in your class.

  • Users can “Take a Tour” of the Assessment Settings and Go Live dashboard to get a quick visual overview of how to use the various features.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Various improvements on the content Player, Go Live and Data dashboards.

  • Improved navigation within the content editor so that you can return to your previous Unit/Lesson from your Assessment or Collection building pages.

  • Updated Fill-in-the-Blank questions with correct answers in Featured Course Navigate Math.

  • Fixed Search so collections and resources are not appearing multiple times in the search results.

  • Various enhancements on Course Map to display collection image and show more characters in assessment and collection titles.


Learning Navigator 3.8.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • You can now turn on/off assessments on the course map. Note: If assessments are already set to On prior to this release, they will stay “On” on the course map.

  • Fixed course map to show class average score even when students have moved on.

  • Fixed an issue on the editor for Highlight Text questions.

  • Removed the setting to activate assessment from the assessment editor to course map


Learning Navigator 3.7.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Added “Search” on profile library page so users can search their own or other’s content

  • Added a “Sort” filter on profile library page so users can sort content alphabetically or by updated date.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Various bug fixes on the Go Live dashboard to show student progress and data accurately

  • Updated user registration to accept “-” (hyphens) in the first and last name fields

  • Updated student sorting to “By Last Name” on all data analytics pages and Go Live dashboard.

  • Fixed the assessment player to handle closing browser or refreshing page during a play session.

  • Teachers are allowed to visit student profile pages.

  • Updated resource link-out page to include a “Play” button to open the resource in a new browser tab.


Learning Navigator 3.6.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Added an equation editor to answer choices to allow creating math expressions in the answers.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Updated resource link-out page to display the resource card.

  • Moved the “Submit All” button to the left side panel in the assessment player to improve navigation.

  • Added support to allow using the Go Live page when accessed from a HTTPS link.

  • Fixed an issue on the Go Live page caused by removal of a student from the classroom.

 

Learning Navigator 3.5.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Added a new setting to enable/disable access to assessments on the Course Map page.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Updated the Log In page to validate username or email id to be case insensitive.

  • Added a “View Report” button on the Data analytics page to open assessment summary reports.

  • Fixed an issue on the Course Map page to show the correct number of students in the class after removing a student.

  • Fixed an issue on the Go Live page to accurately display skipped questions.


Learning Navigator 3.4.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Users can go back to the Course Map page from the assessment summary report.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue in the player to allow Multiple Select Image questions in consecutive order in an assessment or collection.

  • Fixed student assessment summary report to show standards correctly.

  • Cleaned up “States” drop down list to show all US States with no duplicates.

  • Fixed card alignment issue on the Go Live screen caused by the In-Progress icon.

  • Simplified the steps to removing resources and delete questions.

  • Fixed assessment summary report on teacher side to show students’ data for their latest attempt.
  • All new content (courses, assessments, collections, resources, questions) that users create will have the Content Visibility setting to Off by default.


Learning Navigator 3.3.2 Release Notes

New Features

  • Added a “Remix” button to the collection/assessment player so users can easily remix collections and assessments from the player. This is not visible to students when playing content via Classrooms.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Various bug fixes on the Assessment Summary Report to show student data accurately.

  • Changed the default content visibility setting to false for all newly created content.

  • Fixed errors in Fill-In-Blank questions that have square and cube roots.

  • Fixed errors in Highlight-Text questions that include numeric values with decimal point.

  • Various bug fixes in the content editor to improve standards tagging and content re-ordering.

  • Added a fix to prevent students from using the browser’s back button to retake an assessment and losing their score.

  • Fixed the resource preview frame in Firefox browsers to show the full height of the preview frame.

  • The Classroom Code used by students to join a Classroom has been updated so it is not case sensitive.

  • Improved messaging for notify Google sign-in users who try to reset their password

  • Fixed the “Go Live” dashboard to update student responses accurately if they go back to change their answers.

  • Fixed an issue on the assessment player to allow students to go back and change their answers.
  • Fixed broken links to assessments introduced by recent code changes.


Learning Navigator 3.2.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Users can re-order units and lessons within a course in the editor.

  • Users can “Take a Tour” of the Classroom homepage, Quick Start page, and Course Map page to get a quick visual overview of what’s on the screen.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Various bug fixes and UI improvements on the Assessment Summary Report.

  • Changed keyboard “Enter” key in the assessment player to submit answer.

  • Removed extra “Undefined” video resource in the assessment player.

  • Updated Search results to display the publisher of the resource.

  • Fixed some issues on the Data analytics page to show students’ correct average scores and be able to sort students by score or name.

  • Bug fixes related to Go Live dashboard to better support schools with Wifi firewall settings.

  • Fixed brackets conflict for square root equation and Fill-in-blank questions.

  • Add loading symbol & other fixes to prevent "double click" for join class, remix  and delete.

  • Fixed new user bug- where all images were completely broken in very first (new) session.


Learning Navigator 3.1.0 Release Notes

New Features

  • Users can upload PDF and image files from their computer hard drive to Gooru.

  • If a resource is showing up blank in the player, users can set a “link-out” switch to open resources in a new browser tab.

  • Users can set assessment minimum score for their classrooms and students can earn “Trophies” as instant feedback.

  • Teacher can set “Assessment settings” to restrict navigation, attempts, and showing the answer key for assessments.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • Users can add a question image to their questions

  • Users can remove collections/assessment from their courses without permanently deleting. Collections return to the user’s Library and can be added to another course.

  • Users can use the “Copy To” shortcut to copy resources/questions from a collection/assessment to another collection/assessment.

  • Users can edit questions directly within the Collection/Assessment Editor.

  • Users can see more than 20 collections or assessments in the "Add to" side pop-up.

  • Fixed some issues to properly save Fill in the Blank (FIB) questions.
