How do I use live assessments?
In the Learning Navigator, teachers have the capability to use live assessments to check for student understanding. Live assessments are available through the Daily Class Activities or through the Course Map page. When the teacher launches a live assessment, the results for each question for the whole class are visible on the teacher's dashboard in real-time.
To use live assessments, you will need to do the following first:
Launch live assessment from Course Map
1. From your homepage, click on Course Map of the classroom with the course you want to see live assessment.
2. Navigate to the assessment > click the toggle button to On to make it available to students.
3. Click Go Live button.
The Go Live Dashboard will be displayed. If the assessment is launched through the Course Map, the results are available under the Report tab.
Launch live assessment from Daily Class Activities
If you do not have an assessment added to the Daily Class Activities yet, please refer to the support article on how to add one.
1. From your homepage, click on Daily Class Activities of the Classroom with the Course you want to see live assessment.
3. Click the Go Live icon.
The Go Live Dashboard will be displayed. If the assessment is launched through Daily Class Activities, the results are available via clicking the Go Live icon. Performance data is available only that day; data is not accessible after that.
On the Go Live Dashboard, you can:
Click the Launch Anonymous button and display the dashboard on the classroom projector for students to see the live view with their names replaced by student IDs.
Click on a question to zoom in on a question to see a distribution of class responses. When you see a common grouping of incorrect answers, it’s a great opportunity to discuss the concept instantly.
Toggle between the Tile View or List View.
Click on student’s name to see his/her progress and responses.
